We know that J.J Abrams will be the director of the new Star Wars movie. I find that it is in safe hands because Star Trek turned out so good. However, some say that the new Star Trek films don’t do the series justice. I hope that Star Trek and Star Wars don’t start to merge and seem like the same film.
The composer, of a number of the Star Wars films, John Williams is keen to return for the new film. Here are some quotes from him:
“Each time we play [the Star Wars theme], I’m reminded of the first time we played it decades ago,” says Williams. “Neither I, nor George, nor anyone else involved thought this would go far, or in a few years there would be a sequel and I’d have to revisit the themes… and years later another trilogy.”
“Now we’re hearing of a new set of movies coming in 2015, 2016,” he continues. “So I need to make sure I’m still ready to go in a few years for what I hope would be continued work with George.”
Harrison Ford may be returning to the Star Wars universe. Latino Review appeared on Fox News to say “Harrison Ford will reprise his role as Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars movies. The deal is done. It’s huge.” This could just be a rumour but follow the highlighted text in this paragraph for more information. I think it’s essential that the old characters are played by their respected actors; the new Star Wars film should center around different characters completely.
Finally there are rumours about the plot to Star Wars VII. Just follow this link and make of it what you will. It’s not much to go off but I hope it is true.
The film is expected to be shown in cinemas sometime in 2015. I will be going to see how it has turned out. Will you?
