Synopsis & Opening Comments

“The attack on the Leaf Village intensifies, and Naruto’s transformation into the Nine-Tailed Fox reaches a critical level. With eight tails already emerged, Naruto makes a surprising discovery that changes everything. His confidence buoyed, Naruto seeks a face-to-face meeting with Nagato, the Pain responsible for the massive destruction in the village. Can one boy’s will alter destiny?”

This box set concludes what is probably the best arc of the series to date. The invasion of Pain Arc is a story that is so well developed and easily entices anyone to this series. This will be a fairly short review as most of the arc was covered in the previous review.

So why is this Arc as good as it is? And why should you even consider spending your money on this box set? Lets find out…

The story is where this box set really has its value, there isn’t really anything else to it. The story contains the final episodes of the Invasion of Pain Arc and what a finale to the greatest arc so far. The final moments of the last box set had Naruto face a tragedy, the final moments of a dear friend and a girl very much in love with him.

Naruto Flips…

That is where the last box set left off. And now the Nine Tails is raging out of control and no one can stop it. Pain is gobsmacked as he didn’t expect this amount of power from the Kyuubi. Pain is under complete suppression from the Kyuubi as he is raging in 8 tails mode; almost at his limit Naruto cannot fight the Kyuubi’s instincts. With the further destruction of the Hidden Leaf Village imminent there is no one who can help Naruto get control; until a untimely visit from the 4th Hokage.

Yes I said it, the 4th has shown himself, although only in Naruto’s Heart. This is an emotional reunion for Minato Namizaki as for him this is the first time seeing Naruto all grown up. It is a real tearjerking moment as we finally find out that Naruto’s Father is in fact the 4th Hokage and he sealed some of his own chakra inside Naruto so that he can stop the Nine Tails if he ever needed to.

There isn’t really much else to say in this review because it is clearly just a follow on from the last box set which contained the real big chunk of the arc. Nevertheless I really did enjoy the finale of this arc and it shown just how graceful characters can be made to be. What I love about Naruto in general is that it provides a positive role model for those that do not maybe have one; I would love to be a kind, strong willed and merciful human being like him.

It is definitely worth the price tag as it is a cheap buy for collectors of the series. Are you a huge Naruto fan like me? Have you been reading the manga? If not then Anime fans have a lot of great things to look forward to.

Closing Comments

This box set really did interest me, would I consider collecting the entire series after this box? You bet your ass I would.

Naruto may be one of the “Big 3″ in terms of anime lately but I must say that this is clearly the champion of the Big 3, and with 2 of those ending soon (Naruto included), then you want to get your fill.
